Previous Name: Taako
Myth: The Adventure Zone
Past Life Information: Taako and his twin sister Lup were raised by their grandparents on a farm. And yeah, that sounds nice, but have you ever tried living less than fifty feet from cow poop at all times? Not good. Then war came and they were passed around from one family member to another before going on the road. They traveled with various groups, depending only on each other and picking up skills as they went--including the magic that would come to define them. They graduated top of their class and eventually joined the Institute of Planar Research and its first group of explorers. On the day of launch, the crew witnessed the arrival of The Hunger. They fled, and when they returned, they were no longer on the plane of existence they once knew. This led to 100 years of running, finding new worlds, fleeing the Hunger, and occasionally trying to fight back...until their memories were stolen for a chance at peace. Or something. Look, he's still a little sore about being made to forget his twin. The new memories included things like a failed cooking show (Sizzle It Up With Taako!). He eventually fell in with Magnus and Merle and was recruited by the Bureau of Balance, where he totally saved the world, fell in love, and owned. Abraca-fuck-you.
Current Name: Kim Tae-ri (Tae-ri = given name; Kim = surname)
Age: 19? 20? 21? He refuses to say.
Occupation: Social media influencer, YouTube and Instagram celebrity, and foreign exchange student
Personality: Tae-ri is the kind of charming you never expect to be charmed by. He's openly, flagrantly, flamboyantly self-absorbed, and he will cut a bitch if you try to claim there's a bleeding heart somewhere buried deep inside. Except there really is a bleeding heart somewhere buried deep inside, and he manages to be the best worst friend you will ever meet. Sure, he claims he'll let the drag queens eat you alive, but in the end he'll roll his eyes and save your ass out of pure affection. He's like a cat that way. He's sweet with enough bite to keep it interesting and has a self-confidence that can shake nations. He's your prototypical Spoiled Millennial, saving the world while everyone else bitches about how much kids these days love their phones. Also, he's kind of a scary genius when it comes to tech. You might even call him a wizard.
Background: Tae-ri doesn't much talk about his past. He claims it's because he likes to be mysterious. His official records don't reveal much (though how much of that is poor institutional record-keeping and how much is Tae-ri's skill with a computer is hard to say) except that he was raised with his maternal grandmother and his parents are still alive...somewhere. They send him money regularly, which he pours into various things they would be morally opposed to out of spite. (Mostly LGBTQIA+ related.) He once admitted while drunk and vulnerable that he has a younger brother, but that's as far as he's come to opening up. Mostly Tae-ri is focused on the present: making a splash with his YouTube channel, streaming regularly for his own income and studying...whatever. He seems to take a strange shatter-shot of classes that don't actually map out to any one (or two, or three) major. He likes it that way.
Current Status: Unaware
